Optimal for stripping a surface

There is no better solution than abrasive blasting when you need to strip a surface of rust, paint, stain, or any other contaminant. Is universally accepted that abrasive blasting is the most cost-effective and time effective method for stripping a surface. Abrasive blasting strips any surface including steel, aluminum, wood, and concrete. 

Optimal surface profile

Depending on the type of media used when sandblasting, we are able to achieve a certain surface profile. Some medias do  not leave a surface profile which is great in certain scenarios. Some blast medias such as coal slag leave an aggressive surface profile which is ideal for paint adhesion. If you do not have the correct profile, your coating will not adhere to the surface correctly, Maning a possible failure and redo of your paint job. 

Preventative maintenance

One of the most expensive aspects of maintenance on equipment, homes, ships, and anything else is corrosion. Whether you like it or not corrosion is going to happen. The best way to deal with it is by keeping up on the protective coating. Occasional sandblasting and painting work on items you maintain is extremely worth it when dealing with corrosion. It will save you from having to replace parts that decay due to the corrosion, paying off in the long run. properly maintained, wood metal and other surfaces will last hundreds of years but when it isn’t taken care of, and neglected, the cancerous rust and rot will develop and spread. An example of the importance of blasting and coating maintenance is a sea water fishing vessel. It is recommended that vessels are pulled out of the water, sandblasted, and painted once every three years. It is a costly expense, but it prevents extreme cost and welding repairs in the long run. Another example is log homes. Most stains on the log homes only last 6 to 10 years. When log homes are neglected, rot begins to develop and spread. Bugs infiltrate and eat the logs. When the logs need to be replaced due to rot and bug damage, you are looking at 10x the repair cost. This includes jacking the entire house up into the air, cutting out the old rotten logs and replacing them with new logs. If the logs were properly maintained with blasting and stain every 6-10 years, that log home will easily outlast all of us.
